And as the launch timeline was close to World Ocean Day, we felt inspired to reach out to Coral Guardian to see if we could support them in their cause of reef conservation, as it aligned with our sustainability vision.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n What worries you most about the current state of coral reefs ?<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We understand that coral reef destruction is a global problem, perpetuated by several conditions – some of which include water pollution, floating trash, microplastics, coral harvesting, and climate change. We also know that, in some regions, there are fishermen who still practice the use of dynamite or blast fishing, although it is deemed illegal, to make it easier for them to catch more fish.<\/span><\/p>\n Reefs make up an important part of our global natural environment \u2013 for fish stocks and maintaining a clean ocean ecosystem as well as helping people to earn their livelihoods who rely on tourism and fishing.
